The Great Plains Institute is an organization of leaders and experts dedicated to engaging and collaborating with people, organizations, and communities to craft nonpartisan, pragmatic energy solutions that benefit the economy and environment. GPI will work with partners to identify grant opportunities, connect with communities, assist with grant writing, provide TA around energy issues and collaborate with convening and facilitation of community group engagements around energy issues.

The UMN is home to a new federal office intended to get as much climate investment into environmental justice communities as possible. As part of this effort, Minnesota political leaders, officials from the Environmental Protection Agency, and university staff held a roundtable discussion Wednesday highlighting the initiative.
