Community Engineering Corps.

Community Engineering Corps (CECorps) provides pro-bono engineering & technical consulting services to communities to leverage available funding and improve their infrastructure. Services include assessment of infrastructure, preliminary engineering reports, feasibility studies, alternative analyses, development of RFPs, and more.

Recent Highlights and News

The Thriving Communities Webinar Series, kicking off in January 2024, is a part of University of Illinois Extension’s effort to build capacity for technical assistance and education aimed to help communities navigate energy- and environment-related federal grant application systems, provide guidance on community inclusion, and lead community-specific strategic planning.

The center, led by Humphrey School faculty, has goals of equitable funding and hands-on help for underserved communities.

Great Lakes TCTAC partner Community Engineering Corps recently partnered with a non-profit to build a community center and a tiny home community for Veterans in need of shelter and community during times of transition.
